Default How do I disable postgre user account in Windows 7?

Hello all, just upgraded to windows 7 and postgre 8.4. When I turn my computer it shows the user select screen between my name and postgre. It is a little annoying to have to click my name everytime it starts so is there a way to disable or hide the postgre username so I dont have to keep clicking my name to login?

Sorry, I have no experience with w7 yet. If you wanted you could uninstall postgresql and use our new installer, which should remove the postgres user login by default. Once again though, I havent tried this personally on a w7 machine.

If you want to try it, make sure you backup everything first -http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20754

Then use these instructions to reinstall - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=20755

For Windows 7 64 bit, using the automatic installer does not remove the postgre username. Can we just delete it ourselves? However, the instructions you posted in this thread do work for removing it.

You don't want to 'delete' the postgres user. You want to do the registry tweak above to hide it.

so does anyone know an actual solution to get it to disappear at start up (win7 64 bit)? I dont want automatic login to be on as I want the password request to come up so is there no other way?

The same way you hide it in Vista or XP, that I posted in my first reply.

    ok thanks.

I am just doing a system scan on my laptop before I save my hands to transfer them to my new pc, and also before I back up my HM database, but the scan has detected two virus/unwanted programs, under object they both say 'HMImport.exe' and the detection is BDS/Poison.avcm

The info says 'contains a recognition pattern of the (harmful) BDS/Poison.awem back-door program

    Action: Move to quarantine

Should I do this or will it possibly delete some of my settings? Is it anything to worry about or you got any idea what it could be or where could have come from?
