HUD Lags

Whenever the HUD is running tables are often slow and sluggish. It is a chore to click on a table and move it and occasionally gets so bad that the HUD locks up my computer and I am forced to close it to resume action on tables. This is a problem I have had for quite a while but I just assumed it was caused by my massive database. I recently created a fresh new DB and noticed this problem is still an issue.

I am playing across Stars/Party/Will Hill. It doesn't seem to matter if I have 1 table open or many. Even just having 1 table opened sitting by myself with no stats being displayed causes this lag and unresponsiveness. As soon as the HUD is closed the table reacts as normal.

What can I try?

Vista 64 bit
i7 920 @ 2.67ghz
ASUS EAH6950
SSD boot drive, DB located on a RAID array.

I believe my issue was due to memory. I noticed most of my 8 gigs of ram were constantly being used and an abnormally large chunk to svchost. I went through service by service and disabled any that were deemed expendable. Everything is running much smoother now.
