VPP calculation not correct?

As said in topic title: According to Stars I collected 375 VPPs until now, according to HM it's only 348. I have been playing 6max NL25 for a little over 3k hands.

Is HM only giving an estimation, or should it be an exact value?

Pokerstars changed the formula this summer. HM has not been updated to correct for the new vpp formula.

Maybe something that can easily be fixed in one of the next releases?

I couldn't say how near the top of the list this revision is. They changed it in July I believe. Once HM updates to resolve it, it should be able to change all your historical data too.
