    Update to: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe

Go to the Home Tab--> Database--> and check if you have an old database you can select.
Or reimport all your hands into this database.

Create a new database, and run a import from folder on your archive folder.

I've got the same problem and I'm sitting here watching 7399 files transfer to a new database.

    Let's hope it works!

    Pat,

Do you know how long it takes to reimport 5million hands and then watch it re-sync over 6000 batches. It is hours and hours of wasted time when I can't use HM to play with.

It may seem a simple piece of technology to move a database but for you it's your job...for me I'm just trying to find a minutes of leisure time to play poker...and I'm not succeeding.

If you have a 5 million hand database: manually import all hands on the second computer by moving the handhistories.
(and make a manual backup of those handhistories. If you ZIP them, it will only end up being a 200 MB file)
We'll introduce an improved sync option in one of the next updates, where it will only sync NEW hands.

Thanks for the transfer and sync advice.

I live in South Africa with only 4 megabit lines and enomous contention rates so on a busy day the download speeds are really slow.

Anything you can do to quicken up the sync process would be much appreciated.

I guess the issue is that once I've redone a database it then downloads the whole shooting match from the cloud. If I had unlinked it and started from scratch I'd have had the same problems uploading it all....which would have been slower.

The "searching for batches to upload" element is very, very slow and sometimes I can't upload the day's worth in an overnight and it can create a backlog and that's without the line dropping out and halting the whole issue.

I think the sync function is a godsend and well done for that...just speeding it up would be the real bonus.

I was cursing you guys when all my hands "disappeared" again after the update.

I then noticed that the player name had changed and it wasn't mine.

It may be that if the programme changes the player name to some random player in the database then the owner won't see their results unless they change the player name back to their own.

I wonder if this may have been the cause with other people who had a similar problem.
