Default How to set-up a client server configuration for HM2

    Hi,

I have one machine I use for playing poker and one that I use for study. I would like to host all my hands in a single Postgres database hosted on the machine I use for studying, but obviously I want to also access those hands from my playing machine.

So, how do I set-up my study machine to be a HM2 database server that can be accessed by the other HM2 installation on the playing machine.

I am runing posgres 9.2 on both machines. Win 10 on the playing machine and Win 7 on the study machine.

    Thanks

See this FAQ - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How can a database be accessed by two or more computers with Holdem Manager?

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: What Files Should I Backup to Protect my Holdem Manager?

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.
