Hi, I backed up the config folder as mentioned on these forums.
Now when I copy the old config folder into my new HM2 install nothing changes.
I am trying to retrieve my HUD and notes.
Thanks

Are you closing HM2 first? Did you paste into the roaming folder?

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

I'm a little confused. I saved the config folder from Program Files/Holdem Manager 2/Config
and I pasted it into the same place when I reinstalled HM2.
I'm not sure what you mean by roaming and I don't have anything else saved (except my hand histories which I imported again).
Thanks

That's not the right folder. That's where the default settings are. Follow all of our steps. It's the roaming folder as the FAQ on backup says.
For Windows Vista/7/8: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager
