HM2 Loading too much hands for my needs ...

Hello, my goal is to reduce the amount of memory needed by HM2.
My +500K hands are loaded quite fast.I just don't need to load them all.

Could that be a solution ?
PURGE will delete hands out of the window of dates ?
Is there an alternative to PURGE hands ?

If you want to purge that many, create a new database instead.

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How to create a new database and import previously played hands

You can backup notes from the other and restore in the new.

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

is technically impossible ?

Can you tell us where you see the bolded and quoted part?

You can just import the hands that you want. Just choose the months recently to import just those, or a specific site in the archive.
