Default Hands not found by using local DB on other PC

Hi, my setup is a MacBook Pro running macOS 10.12.5 and using a VM running Windows 10 by Parallels 12.2.1

I have another computer which is a desktop running Windows 10 on my local network and has a lot of storage for the hand histories to be stored. I want to be able to need the hand histories stored on my VM and just use the desktop storage for viewing hands while on my macbook pro.

So, I installed Holdem Manager 2 onto both computers with importing hands onto my desktop computer.

I've created a dummy database by following this guide:
Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How can a database be accessed by two or more computers with Holdem Manager?

The dummy database on my VM was made successfully on my desktop computer by my VM.
After I connected to the Desktop DB with the imported hands and set it as my default DB for my VM on the macbook.

I'm not able to view the hands on my macbook by viewing the Reports tab.
I am able to view Opponents Summaries but I really want to be able to replay hands on my macbook.

I did get what I'm trying to achieve with PokerTracker 4 working and I'm confused if this is not possible on Holdem Manager or something must be wrong on my side.

Does it show in the player list when you change players?

Make sure the reports and filters are not corrupted:

    Close HM2
    Please delete everything in:

    Win Vista/7/8: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Re ports and \Filters
    Windows XP: C:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager\Reports and \Filters

Showing hidden files: Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How are Hidden Files Viewed in Windows?
Restart HM2 and the issue should be resolved.

Then, make sure the database is not corrupted:

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Database Manager (Ribbon)

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How to create a new database and import previously played hands

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. Please continue to use the new database and import the rest of your hands using the steps above. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How does Backup and Restore Database, Settings and HUD configs work?

The database is not corrupt on my desktop pc.
I'm just not able to view any hands on my MacBook Pro using the vm and connected to the database on the desktop pc.

I've followed the steps and did multiple other attempts but no dice yet.

To make things further clear, I just want to use my MacBook Pro by replaying hands from the database on my Windows desktop.

So far I've just been using Microsoft's Remote Desktop App to replay & view hands located on my Windows desktop from Parallels on my MacBook Pro.

Is it actually possible to replay hands from another machine other than where the database is stored?

The reason I ask is because I can see the stats of other players by Holdem Manager on my MacBook Pro but there are no hands found to replay on my MacBook Pro synced to the DB on the local network (Windows desktop) and switching players does not change anything.

Everything works perfectly in Holdem Manager on the Windows desktop machine.

Did you follow the steps for the roaming folder from the FAQ?
For me it looks like this is the missing part of the database.
