Problem with synch of 2 Laptops

Hey Guys.
I have a problem/question.

I play mainly on Bwin/Party and for the rebuy mtts hm2 doesn't track the addon. You have to edit the tournament manually and add the $amount to the "rebuys and addons"-column.

And sometimes the buyin-amount of a tournament isn't tracked properly...

it could be 22,02$ instead of 22,00$ or
some crazy discrepancy like 530,00$ instead of 2,00$

You have to edit those amounts manually as well..

Now after synching my 2 laptops, on the new one I have all the "wrong" buyin-amounts and all the addons are missing as well....


Is it possible to have the same tournament buyin-amounts on both laptops?

There are a variety of known issues with the HM Sync Beta feature where the results are not syncing properly for some customers. We are planning to completely re-work the HM Sync feature using code from our new HM Cloud application but I don't have an ETA for when this will be implemented. In the meantime while we wait for the new sync system you will need to manually sync your hands on both PCs. Here is a FAQ explaining how to best keep your original hands on both computers so you can easily sync the hands manually - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: Sync Hands Between 2 PC's Using Dropbox

If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket via the 'Contact Support' and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

I'm not sure I understood you correctly.

I don't have any problem with the synch of any hands.

It's just that I had to edit some mtts because the buyin/addon wasn't tracked properly.

After the synch, on my new Laptop the mtts are back to its default settings, which means the buyin/addon isn't tracked as on my Laptop1

Is there a way to prevent this??
I want to synch the edited tournament details (buyin/addon)

exactly!
For example when I play a 20$rebuy on partypoker and I'll make one rebuy and one addon. Then HM2 only tracks the rebuy.
Unfortunately I have to add the 20$ addon manully to the "rebuys and addons"-column.
When I bust before the money it tracks minus 60$ in net winnings.

on my new laptop after the synch the same tournament is tracked with 40$ winnings because the addon isn't tracked....

A lot of sites do not write the information in the hand history files, so we can't pull it.

Yes, the sync will not pull that. I meant does it reset on the same computer.

You could backup comp 1 and restore on comp 2.

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. thx for the tip with the the backup; will for sure do this once a month

but making a backup on laptop 1 and restoring it on laptop 2 won't fix my problem with the wrong tracked addons. am i right?!?

the only way to get a correct 2nd database is to edit all rebuy mtts and add all the addon amounts manually?!?

The backup is a complete backup of the tables, rather than the hand histories as a sync is. It should restore the edited information.
