Downloading PostgreSQL failed

Hi

I have now bought a new computer (windows 8) but i can't download PostgreSQL. And the guidelines for having problem downloading PostgreSQL are too old, it's windows 7 so it's impossible to follow the steps.

Which step of the PostgreSQL install fails?


-1 Turn on the secondary Logon. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.

-2 Download and install PostgreSQL 8.4.x (or 9.0 or 9.2) from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (don't download 9.1 or 9.3)

If 8.4 / 9.0 / 9.2 won't install (service won't start), try 8.2: http://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/binary...l-8.2.22-1.zip

If you are having an issue still, there are a lot of issues with Windows 8 and folder permissions.
