    Default HM 2 Not picking up my hands

    Hello, I am new to this forum and having trouble with HM2. I have had succcess running HM2 on my old laptop but I just bought a new Gateway with Windows 7 and seem to be having a bit of trouble. I believe I have set up the Auto Import folders correctly and have double checked them a few times to make sure of this. When I play with the HUD a panel comes up in the top left corner that says Settings/ Default 2.0 HUD and beneath that Waiting for hands... however my hands are not being tracked and no HUD Panel is coming up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

    For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager2 installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

    Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

    Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

    Are you hands being imported into HM2?
    Can you select your hero in HM2? Do the hands import if you run a manual import from file on them?

    Pat, thank you for the reply. I am using A Norton Security Firewall and Anti-Virus. I have tried all of the aformentioned steps you recommended but have still had no luck. Here are a couple of other details. I tried to manually import the folder I am sending the hand histories to and it said it imported 15 files but when I go to the reports Tab it still claims I have no hands in my database. Also, when I went into the Seating Preferences of my HUD the only sites that come up are Cake and the Bossnetwork, but no Merge which is the site I have been playing on and attemting to send hand histories from. I'm not sure if this is the reason why I am not picking up the hands or not. Once again your help is greatly appreciated.

    Can you temporarily disable the Norton Firewall. Turn on Windows Firewall. Set exception for holdemmanager.com to both firewalls: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...erAsAThreat%3F

    Set the lobby language of the pokerclient to English.

    Hey Pat, I disabled my Norton firewall, the lobby language was already set to English and still no luck. Any other suggestions? If not, would I be able to contact HM support and downgrade from HM2 to HM1?

    - Close HM2
    - Please delete the following files:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\ho ldemmanager.config and holdemmanager.config.bak
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Re ports folder
    - Start HM2 again

    To downgrade (or at least to give you the option to use BOTH HM1 and HM2) email sales@holdemmanager.com and request a 180 day serial key for HM1.

    Then can give you such a serial, if you own HM2, so you can still use HM1.
