Again a long standing and at least in my opinion quite annoying bug.
This isnt actually a bug but we understand your frustration, to explain whats going on, we load the hands into memory when you load HM2 first, this allows us to do things at a much higher speed because you can read from memory incredibly quicker than from the disk.

So although there is some initial delay on reboot all your reports will run much faster and with a large database the speed increase will be significant, there is a tradeoff though in the initial wait but well also have a version coming soon which allows you to decrease the initial load time and sacrafice faster reports by reading more info from the disk and not loading as much into memory so you will have the choice of which works better for you

HM-3402 already on the list and covered under various stat fixes (aka 4349 as we switched bug systems a while back so if the bug doesnt start with HM its on the old bug system)
HM-4204 On the list, will need some consideration, we might overcomplicate things with such a solution but is still up for consideration
HM-4183 - On the list already
HM-4497 - Fixed, well be released next update
HM-4411 - Were implementing a new grid system, once in this should be fixed along with a ton of other sorting bugs, its a complete re-write so it will need a couple of weeks for implementation, its currently in beta testing internally and still a good few issues before its stable
HM-4398 - This is fixed now and will be done in next release i.e hud options window not resizeable, your bug is the old system 4398 so its actually HM-3448 and is penned in for completion in an upcoming milestone near the end of the month if all goes to plan
Wow! thanks for detailed info... sounds good :-)

The thing with the caching is not the caching itself. I fully understand that this takes some time. The thing is that it sometimes takes several minutes before the caching even starts and thats a bug in my opinion.
    That gives the following effect:
    1. Start HM2
    2. Start Poker client.
    3. Register to some SNG
    4. Play the first hands in the SNGs.
    5. HUD shows waiting for hands
    6. After a while chaching starts
    7. after caching has finished HUD works.

I have no problem if the time needed for the caching is shorter then starting the poker client and register for the SNGs.
By the way I am sure that I have no memory issue with my machine. (12GB of RAM should be enough)
As requested by support I did send already logfiles. The last one was send 2012.02.14.

There will be no issue whatsoever to extend your HM1 license if an issue on HM2 is not fixed that your not experiencing with HM1.
Found the bug numbers in this thread:
    EV Adjusted Graph Issue?

One is 4086 which I learned is now tracked as 4307.
Then there are 4078 and 3481.

If you still want some screen shots or details from my setup please tell me to whom I should send them.

This used to occasionally happen to me on my 7+ year old AMD4200+ desktop w/ 2gb RAM and 7200rpm HDD but it was very random and I think it quit happening some months ago. I have been working off my laptop the past few weeks so I am not sure if it still happens but I dont have this issue on my laptop with 8gb ram and 5400rmp HDD.

Needless to say, it should not happen like you describe. If you could reproduce the problem and send us a video of it happening and a log file we will have the developers investigate it.

Please reproduce the problem and attach a short video Jing, screenshot and screencast software from TechSmith

If the video is too big for email you can share it via screencast with jing and send us a link to watch it.

Please reproduce the problem and attach your log.txt file - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Please email the video and log, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

As this happens to me nearly every time I start HM2 it should be no problem to reproduce it.
I will look into creating a video and keep you informed.

What about Winning poker Network support? Americas Cardroom, Doyles Room, True Poker, etc. etc. are all on this network. I believe you guys said march or April a few months back but I haven't heard anything. This is the second biggest US facing network currently and I would love if I could use HM2 again.

    Thanks, Trevor

    About the delayed caching.
I made a test run without video and it was slow. After that I made a run with video and could not reproduce the error.
Only difference between the slow startup and the fast startup is that this time the HH files were archived.

Noticed it only due to the fact that normally I play with HM2 active and stop it at the end of the session. After that I start HM1 to import the hands there. Normally I still find the HH files in the Poker client folder but this time they were already moved to the HM2 HH backup folder. Might be something that changes the wait/release behavior of some of the tasks/threads running within HM2.

I will continue to monitor the issue and if I can create a video I will send it.

Edit: Tried to move some files back into the client HH folder but did not make it slow again.

Do you play large-field MTT's at stars? I am wondering if it might be caused by the tourney summary files with large numbers of players. We just made some fixes in the internal version to address the way we handle these summary files with large player counts.

Please update to the latest internal version to see if it helps - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe
