PC and Laptop

I've just put HEM onto my laptop computer and now on my PC the HUD doesn't show. The hands are being imported but no HUD.

Also, on my laptop, now HEM won't open but the HUD is showing!!!!!
The little box comes up saying 'initializing database' and 'not responding' - I think it must be already open but not showing anywhere.

This may be a silly question but are they linked?
