    Default Note Syncing

Not sure if this has been suggested yet or isn't viable, but would it be possible to have HM sync, sync your player notes? I can see this being a problem with existing notes that might be in conflict with one another, but couldn't it work such that it only adds notes where there are no notes at all?

This is a pracitcal feature to have for HM sync, because I believe actual hands and player notes are what people will be looking to keep synced between multiple PCs the most.

I know this is an ancient post, but I didn't see an answer elsewhere and it doesn't seem to be happening for me. Can hand history notes be synced using HM Sync? (Not the NoteCaddy notes, btw, but the hands that I mark and write notes about manually.) This would be really nice bc I do this often and backing up & restoring the database between two computers is a drag, obv. Thanks.

This is not possible and there are no short term plans to implement it due to how much work would be involved and limitations in the HM Sync feature we implemented in the alpha/beta days of HM2.

There are a variety of known issues with the HM Sync Beta feature where the results are not syncing properly for some customers. We are planning to completely re-work the HM Sync feature using code from our new HM Cloud application but I don't have an ETA for when this will be implemented. In the meantime while we wait for the new sync system you will need to manually sync your hands on both PCs. Here is a FAQ explaining how to best keep your original hands on both computers so you can easily sync the hands manually - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/3221/Sync+Hands+Between+2+PC%27s+Using+Dropbox

The notes would have to be synced using the backup/restore of settings while skipping the database - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+settings+ONLY

Ok, well thanks for the workaround. I actually use the dropbox method already but more as a backup -- and obviously it doesn't sync notes, so it's not really full workaround.

I haven't, however, been moving hands once they're re-imported into the computer that didn't create those histories as suggested in that first faq. Is there a way to check if I have duplicate hands in my db?

notes have to be backed up and restored. Duplicate hands are not imported, they are skipped during the import process.

Oh, ok. There is a section on "Managing Duplicates" that might occur when you use the dropbox method. Was confused. Thought that was a risk. http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...box#duplicates

This means that you should move the files you already imported to a different location so that you only import freshly played hands.
