Default Editing Tournaments - How to?

    Hi

When I edit PS Tournaments (lets not get into why that is necessary), HM2 just ignores what I am doing.

I am in Tabs Reports/Tournament/Tournaments. It shows a list of todays Tournaments. Some of them are shown with Finish 0 (Step Tournaments I have won), all of them are listed with speed regular, when they were turbos.

Auto-import does scan tournament summary folder, all is run as admin.

So I right click/edit/turbo, nothing happens (remains regular), I right click/edit/finish 1/won x$, nothing happens (remains finish 0)

Sometimes, it helps to close/restart HM2 but not today. Pls explain how to sucessfully edit a tourney.

    Thx

Update: Closing HM2 and restart 2 times lets half the edited tourneys magically appear as turbos now, other half still regular and un-editable, whats with this shit?

we need the files for any that do not import right.

Please zip and email the original hand history and tournament summaries (for Stars, FTP, and Pacific) files from c:/hmarchive and/or c:\hm2archive

files are zipped by right clicking - send to - compressed folder

For multiple files, copy to a folder, then zip them.

to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread.

This sounds like a permissions issue with your folders.

    1) Please make sure you are installing on an administrator account and running as an administrator.

    2) Please turn off UAC.

    3) You'll need to add:
    - hmupdate.exe (only exists during update)
    - holdemmanager.exe
    - hudfuncapps2.exe
    - postgres and pg_ctl, your poker client .exe
    - table ninja.exe
    - tablescannerdllloader.exe
    - notecaddy.business.dll and notecaddy.contents.dll from the modules folder in holdemmanager's program files folder (you might have to type in the names in some firewalls, they do not show)

to the exceptions list in your firewall and antivirus. ****

    4) Make sure that windows is fully updated. Keep checking for updates until it says twice five minutes apart that there are no more updates available.

    5) You need to make sure that this folder*,

    8/7/Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

    XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

as well as c:\postgresql (or c:\programfiles\postgresql), c:\programfiles\holdemmanager2, c:\hm2archive, c:\hmarchive and your site's hand history folder are each not read only** and that all permissions are set to full for your user name. ***

    * You will need to show hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

    http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

See the location here for win 7:

    http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

See the location here for win xp:

    http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

** You will need to right click the folder, open properties. At the bottom in Attributes, uncheck the Read-Only. The folder will continue showing read only after that, this is an issue in Windows

*** This is in Properties as well, in Security.

****Please see this guide for Windows Firewall:

Please see this FAQ for setting permissions and unchecking read only:

We will still need a sample of the HH/TS files so we can duplicate this problem and get it documented because it doesn't happen with all stars tournaments so it is specific to the games you are playing. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\DD\MM.

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com
