Postgreql problem
Hi - I've spent most of the afternoon reviewing all the various threads and instructions on this, but have got nowhere.
My laptop did an HP Update (including BIOS) this morning, and since then I cannot get the PostgreSQL 8.4 Service to start.
I've removed firewall and AV software; I've followed all the instructions for manually Stop/Starting the service; I've re-installed PostgreSQL; etc
After all that, the problem remains the same. If I go to Services, I see that the PostgreSQL service is set to Automatic, but not started. When I try to start it, it takes a while, but throws back an error saying the service cannot be started.
Please help - what else can I try, short of binning the whole thing
So frustrating as HEM has just worked perfectly until the update happened today.
