You can't manually change it if you use preferred seating, it messes it up.
Please export your HUD's in HUD Options.
Then delete the prefs file in the config folder in
7: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
Showing hidden files and sytem files and folders: How to show hidden files in Windows 7
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager
Showing hidden files and sytem files and folders: Microsoft Corporation
Please make sure that your windows is uptodate, all service packs and windows updates installed.
Uninstall your current NetFramework version with this tool: http://videos.holdemmanager.com/dotn...eanup_tool.zip
and download the NET installer and run it
For XP / Vista http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe
For Win7 - NET4 Download: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
Import your HUD's again.
Set your seating preferences to match the site's seating preferences.

I've the same problem.... I did all what you wrote but the problem is still there...
When I choose for example 6 max preference seat 4 if I close HM2 and open it again my seating preference is not saved (even if I did saved it )..
When I playing the stats are at wrong places too.
